You gonna come on a walk?

This is Small White (xiao bai) our "apartment's" dog. She is a really sweet dog that lives in front of and in the halls of our apartment. Sometimes she will walk with us around the lake or like in the picture, to the bus stop on Gaung Fu Lu.

Kaohsiung City

This weekend is Dragon Boat Holiday so we took the high speed train down to Southern Taiwan's 2nd biggest city Kaohsiung. We saw some dragon boat races at the Love River.

This is a hot city so eating fruit, grass jelly, ice cream, pudding, peanuts, and tons of other things to choose from to put on a pile of cold ice!!

The temples here are decorated with colorful designs!

Gondola Ride in Taipei

We are really packing the weekends trying to do all things possible. On Saturday we took the first train to Taipei and just barely caught the last train back to Hsinchu! This was a fun Moutain ride! It was about 30 minutes long and moved faster than I thought it would.

At the top stop of the Gondola were tea fields, tea houses, and some hiking trails.

Here is a view of part of Taipei city and the surrounding county area from the Gondola.

Taipei Zoo

Note what the sign says at the end. It compares the monkey's bottom to a favorite food. Heee Hee HEEE! We saw the bottoms in person and didn't quite agree.

Yummy...sushi train.

Who doesn't like monkeys. This one was especially happy swinging around in the trees. Monkeys are great.
